AFRIKA STRONG
In 2020, we designed and executed what we aimed to be the longest, largest virtual family reunion of people of African ancestry: celebrating all things #AfricaRising. For SIX days of non-stop live streaming, we had content coming to and from our global family in many forms! From poetry and art, to meditation and healing, and even movies, music, and education. This was known as Africa Week 2020.

In 2023, again, we joined to unite, heal, and celebrate Mama Afrika, all her children everywhere, languages, cultures, foods & more!!
​
It was the first of our annual celebration under the intentionally claimed identity. We've changed our name, to match our aim: CommUNITY.

AfriKa - invoking the K for kinship as children of Mama Afrika!

Strong - because there’s nothing weak about our Afrika!
